An invitation to join us! 

Please join us for CAL's Spanish Literacy Institute designed to provide participants with an awareness of Spanish linguistic features to effectively teach academic language and literacy in Spanish to students at all levels of proficiency, framed by an understanding of Spanish language arts standards.

What this institute is all about.

This practitioner-oriented session is intended for K-8 educators who are seeking a foundation in Spanish linguistics and the teaching of Spanish literacy. Educators from a variety of K-8 educational settings where Spanish is the medium of instruction, including developmental and transitional bilingual, heritage language, language immersion, or dual language programs, are welcome.

Participants will receive a CAL Certificate of Completion for 15 hours that may be used for continuing education credit depending on the policies of the school jurisdiction.

CAL is not responsible for technical support, but will provide specifications for accessing the content for this PD session.

Note that each institute is either in English or Spanish. Depending on the institute of choice, participants must have a working knowledge of the language to participate fully. 

Certificate of Completion

Participants will receive a CAL Certificate of Completion which may be used for continuing education credit.
