Adult English Educators: Foundations of Scaffolding
This self-paced mini-course teaches educators of adult English learners effective scaffolding strategies to support learners across all proficiency levels. The course is aligned to the National Reporting System (NRS) Educational Functioning Levels for English as a Second Language (ESL).
Through three interactive sections, educators develop practical scaffolding skills:
• Section 1: Introduces theoretical foundations and principles of effective scaffolding
• Section 2: Hands-on practice with various scaffold types and techniques
• Section 3: Creating comprehensive scaffolding plans for immediate classroom use

Terms and Conditions
This online course is offered in four sessions annually:
• Summer session: August 18–September 28, 2025
• Fall session: October 1–December 28, 2025
• Winter session: January 1–March 29, 2026
• Spring session: April 1–June 28, 2026
Registration for each session will close one week before the end of the session. You may register for a session in advance, and the course will open on the first day of the session. The course will close at midnight following the last day of the session. You must complete the course in full before midnight on the last day of the session. Courses cannot be completed in subsequent sessions. There will be a two-day break between each session for course maintenance.
Refund Policy
Full refunds are available within 30 days of purchase (or the session start date if purchased in advance) if the course has not been accessed. Refunds will not be given after the session close date. Registrations may not be transferred between sessions.
