Take your expertise in the SIOP Model to the next level and build the skills needed to lead high-quality professional development sessions in your school or district. Designed for educators with prior SIOP experience who are ready to grow as trainers and facilitators, join us for a collaborative learning experience that will deepen your understanding and expand your impact.
This comprehensive and interactive institute prepares participants to facilitate SIOP Model professional development in their school or district. Designed for educators with a foundational understanding of the SIOP Model—gained through previous workshops, classroom practice, or self-study—this institute builds the knowledge and skills needed to train and support PreK-12 or adult education teachers in integrating language and content instruction for English learners.
Using a flipped classroom approach, this cohort-based online institute combines both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences. Participants will:
- Attend four live, online sessions (4.5 hours each) for collaborative learning and discussion.
- Complete self-paced activities including recorded mini-lectures, research readings, classroom video analysis, and practical coaching applications.
- Engage in online discussions to reflect and connect with peers.
